On March 6th (dirt trial 1200m: 10-10-5), he broke slowly and settled towards the rear, making up considerable ground. February 7th (dirt trial 1200m: 8-7-6) saw him traveling wide throughout before responding to urging in the straight with a decent finish. Two months ago over this distance, his performance was respectable; despite a slow start and settling back in the field, he ran on strongly for fourth. Three recent barrier trials have shown positive signs. Making his Hong Kong debut, this time with a three-pound weight reduction, having previously won three races at this distance, the horse appears to be competitive within its group. A hold-up tactics are expected to showcase strong finishing kick and potentially secure victory.
