On March 11th (dirt trial 1200m: 4-4-5), the horse was held firmly and showed pleasing action. On February 25th (dirt trial 1050m: 3-3-5), he showed a decent response despite being slightly urged in the final section. On February 6th (Conghua dirt trial 1200m: 5-5-6), he raced near the rail but lacked strength when prompted. On February 20th (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 7-4-6) he weakened and dropped back in the final section, appearing lacking focus. This is his debut run as a new horse; training commenced in Hong Kong at the end of November last year. He’s had four barrier trials this season with unremarkable performances, exhibiting a high leg action, insufficient early speed, and a lack of acceleration. Suited to 1400m-mile distances, he's likely still building fitness for this first start and should be considered a trial run.
