On March 18th, during a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 3-1-2), the horse broke moderately and quickly moved to the rail, finishing strongly for second. On March 25th, in a turf trial over 1000m (sections: 1-1-1), it led throughout but was pushed to maintain its lead in the final section. Five weeks ago, during a straight course race, performance was poor; it took an early lead with a steady pace but lacked a finishing kick. Two barrier trials have shown improvement. Switching to a dirt track over 1200m for its first attempt at this distance, the horse has a seven-pound weight reduction. However, the distance is unfavorable and it lacks a strong finishing kick, making its chances difficult despite drawing a good barrier. Late work suggests if the start is clean and it commits to leading, a forward position is achievable.
