Two weeks ago, this horse ran below expectations over a Happy Valley 1800m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders before making a fast-paced run in the final two sections. Having recently trialled on dirt over a mile, this time with a three-pound weight reduction, the distance is unfavorable and he’s drawn an outside barrier requiring a hold-up strategy; however, his finishing kick isn't as strong as rivals, meaning conditions are not ideal and it should be considered a trial run.
