Five weeks ago, over a Happy Valley 1800m, performance was below expectations; settled well with good early speed but lacked a finishing kick. A subsequent barrier trial didn’t showcase significant improvement. Now switching to a dirt mile for its first attempt at this distance, the horse benefits from a three-pound weight reduction and an advantageous barrier draw, offering potential for a forward run. Derek Leung takes the ride, possessing a good understanding of the horse's temperament; despite concerns about the distance and trainer/jockey compatibility, a clean break and intent to lead should see it finish among the frontrunners.
