On March 13th, the horse recorded (dirt trial 1200m: 2-2-2), finishing second with continued potential. Four weeks ago, in a Happy Valley mile race, it performed poorly; leading early but tiring significantly in the middle stages and finishing well-beaten. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Another dirt mile trial was conducted, and this time the horse will carry three pounds less weight while drawing an outside barrier. Its finishing kick is considered weak, presenting a challenging scenario with a trainer/jockey combination that hasn't fully clicked. However, its times are comparable to others in the group, suggesting it could challenge for the lead. Angus Chung takes the ride, having some understanding of the horse’s capabilities; a clean break and an intent to lead will be key.
