On March 18th, a dirt trial over 1200m saw the horse consistently fall back, displaying only moderate strength. Five weeks ago, it ran a satisfactory race on Sha Tin turf over 1400m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before making a mid-race move, but ultimately failing to catch up, finishing sixth beaten three and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial showed no improvement. Now debuting on dirt over a mile with a two-pound weight reduction, the distance increase is unfavorable and the overall situation appears challenging; despite likely settling back in the field, its finishing kick isn’t weak, but this run should be considered as another trial.
