On March 13th, a dirt trial at Conghua over 1200m saw the horse urged lightly with unremarkable pace. On February 28th, a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m resulted in a trailing finish and slow closing speed. Six weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over Sha Tin’s 1400m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear with an even pace but no finishing kick, resulting in a significant defeat. Two barrier trials have not shown improvement. A recent dirt mile trial sees the horse carrying a three-pound weight reduction for this race; however, it has failed to place in four attempts over this distance. The time difference within its group suggests a hold-up tactic, but lacks sufficient finishing speed compared to rivals making its chances unfavorable, even with an advantageous inside draw.
