In its last run on the dirt mile, the horse performed well despite a slow start, settling towards the back and displaying a strong finishing burst. Following this, it trialed over 1200m on the dirt, but will carry an additional 17 pounds in this race. The plan is to again settle back in the field, however, its finishing kick may not be sufficient to challenge rivals. The horse-jockey combination isn't ideal and although their times were comparable, it drew an inside barrier. Derek Leung has taken the ride, with some familiarity of the horse’s capabilities, but is not considered a strong contender this time.
