Four weeks ago, over 1400m on the Sha Tin turf, this horse ran poorly, slow from the gate and settling towards the rear. It finished with a strong late surge, recording decent sectionals. Stepping up to 1800m this time – a first attempt at this distance – and benefiting from a six-pound weight relief, the trip appears suitable. A hold-up tactic is anticipated, relying on a good finishing kick, and current form suggests it's sharpening nicely with potential for an upset.
