This PPG showed moderate form in six barrier trials following its arrival in Hong Kong last October. Trials on dirt (11/3 – 1200m, finishing 7th, 5th, 6th with urging; 21/2 – 1200m, slow start, finished tailed off after a strong ride; 11/2 – 1200m, showed early promise but faded late) and grass at Conghua (16/1 - 1200m, comfortable pace, finishing 4th, 4th, 1st; 3/1 - 1200m turf, fifth throughout, not far behind; 16/12 – 1000m turf, slow start and followed the pace) revealed a tendency to race slightly high off the ground with a somewhat slow stride. The horse appears suited to distances of 1400m-1 mile. While morning trackwork has been encouraging and AI algorithms suggest a potential for an upset, this newcomer will need to overcome its trial limitations to be competitive.
