Following a pair of barrier trials on {14/3} at Happy Valley (1200m, finishing 8th-9th-5th after moving off the rail and progressing) and {28/2} at Conghua turf (800m, finishing 6th-5th-2nd with a strong finish), this horse ran a solid race last start over this distance. Despite a slow break, it finished powerfully to take third, beaten by half a length. A short break followed, and while the recent trials haven’t fully sharpened its fitness, it’s only been asked to carry one extra pound this time. The draw appears favorable with an inside barrier, and there's strong confidence from both jockey and trainer – the horse clearly possesses good intent.
