Six weeks prior, in a straight course race, despite a slow start and settling towards the rear, it maintained a consistent speed to finish second, beaten by just two and a half lengths - a respectable effort. A subsequent turf trial over 1200m at Sha Tin was satisfactory. This time around, carrying only an additional pound, the horse appears well-positioned in a favorable tempo scenario. Based on relative ability, this contender looks to be the strongest in this race. The jockey change to Hugh Bowman is noteworthy, with the rider having some prior knowledge of the horse's capabilities and a good rapport with the trainer. A reversal of fortunes and a potential victory are certainly within reach.
