Three weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over 1800m on the Sha Tin turf, missing the break and settling towards the rear. The pace was even, but it finished strongly under pressure. Last start, stepping back to 1400m on the turf again with no added weight, its time compared favorably within the group and drew a good barrier – suggesting an opportunity to lead. While displaying limited late speed, there were concerns regarding trainer-jockey compatibility. With Ryan Moore now in the saddle, a jockey who has some understanding of the horse's capabilities and has put in the work, a clean break and a forward intent should see improvement.
