This horse recently trialled well at Conghua on {13/3}, recording a solid (3-2-2) over 1200m on the dirt with strong urging from the rider. Last start, over 1200m on the Sha Tin turf, it ran a very good race finishing second, beaten half a length. It wasn’t quick out of the gates and settled back in the field before closing with fast final sections. The trial performance was satisfactory. Stepping up to 1400m on the turf for the first time, this horse is only up 2 pounds. This distance increase should suit and it will likely race from behind, possessing the strongest finishing kick in its class. It holds a clear advantage in this race; the jockey has some understanding of the horse’s capabilities, trainer & jockey are a good pairing, and the horse is showing signs of returning to form – expect an improved performance.
