RELY ON ME, which was fractious as the start was effected, was slow to begin. CARRY GOOD NEWS began awkwardly and then was taken across behind runners. In the early stages, WIN A DOZEN proved difficult to settle. Also in the early stages, when attempting to find a position with cover, JOLLY WONGCHOY proved difficult to settle. JOLLY WONGCHOY was not able to obtain cover and as a consequence travelled wide throughout the race. ROYAL DOMAIN made the turn at the 800 Metres awkwardly. Making the Home Turn, PRESENT TREASURE and CALIFORNIA LUCK hung out. Prior to straightening, WIN A DOZEN was steadied away from the heels of RICH DRAGON. After the 300 Metres, ROYAL DOMAIN, which was experiencing difficulty obtaining clear running, was shifted wider. Then at the 50 Metres, ROYAL DOMAIN was again steadied and shifted wider when disappointed for running between EIGHT PLUS NINE and SUPER SNIPPETS which drifted in. Throughout the race, HOLIGAN travelled wide and without cover. EIGHT PLUS NINE, CALIFORNIA LUCK and STAR OF FAME were sent for sampling.
