ACT OF FAITH (H082): Shifted out and away from HERO STAR approaching the 250 Metres. ZOOM BOOM (G131): Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between WIND SPEEDER which shifted out slightly and SPEEDSTAR (K De Melo) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. K De Melo was reprimanded and advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten sooner than what he did on this occasion. Sent for sampling post-race. SIGHT HERO (D487): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race. SUPER BONUS (H259): Approaching the 250 Metres was crowded by ACT OF FAITH (B Avdulla) which shifted out and away from HERO STAR. B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care. HERO STAR (D033): No report. MAYHEM (H226): Bumped at the start. Approaching the 250 Metres was hampered by SUPER BONUS which was taken out. After the race, M Chadwick stated that his mount over-raced throughout the event and as a result failed to finish the race off strongly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race. HAPPY FEELING (H443): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. In the early stages raced ungenerously. HARMONY N HOME (C531): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. SUPER EAGLE (G408): Jumped only fairly and then was bumped shortly after the start. WIND SPEEDER (E281): Apprentice Y L Chung (ZOOM BOOM) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that passing the 100 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of WIND SPEEDER, resulting in WIND SPEEDER losing its rightful running and being checked. Apprentice Chung was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 19 November 2023 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. HERCULES (C476): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SPEEDSTAR (G181): Sent for sampling post-race.
