EVERYONE’S DELIGHT shifted out at the start, resulting in TRUE LEGEND being taken out and bumping the hindquarters of HANDSOME TWELVE. In this incident, HANDSOME TWELVE then shifted out and made contact with HAVA NAGEELA. BERLIN TANGO jumped only fairly and then was crowded by RISE BRETHREN which shifted in. GALAXY WITNESS jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. CHANCHENG PRINCE raced keenly in the middle stages and near the 700 Metres was steadied when placed close to the heels of CHAMPION DRAGON. SUPER WIN DRAGON was held up for clear running between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres. HANDSOME TWELVE lay in in the Straight. CHAMPION DRAGON raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. The performance of TRUE LEGEND, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, TRUE LEGEND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of TRUE LEGEND immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right hind leg. A veterinary inspection of CHANCHENG PRINCE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of EVERYONE’S DELIGHT immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. HAVA NAGEELA and HANDSOME TWELVE were sent for sampling.
