BUNDLE OF CHARM was steadied when crowded for room on jumping between CALIFORNIA VANES and LUCKY QUALITY, both of which shifted ground. FAULDS was slow to begin. REVE PARISIEN shifted out at the start and inconvenienced PULSAR STRIDER. After this, from the outside barrier, PULSAR STRIDER was steadied to obtain cover. ENCHANTING IBIS was crowded for room on jumping between LUCKY EIGHT and TEAM SPIRIT, both of which shifted ground. After this, ENCHANTING IBIS was shifted across behind runners to obtain a position closer to the rail. Near the 950 Metres, STAR ASCENSION was hampered when bumped by ENCHANTING IBIS which shifted out. Making the turn after the 900 Metres, BUNDLE OF CHARM raced tight between LUCKY QUALITY and SUMMIT CHEERS. After the 600 Metres, FAULDS was awkwardly placed behind ENCHANTING IBIS. FAULDS was then held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and passing the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of runners to obtain clear running. Approaching the 300 Metres, SUMMIT CHEERS was bumped by ENCHANTING IBIS which shifted out to improve into tight running between SUMMIT CHEERS and BUNDLE OF CHARM. PARTY WARRIOR had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching and passing the 250 Metres. Near the 50 Metres, ENCHANTING IBIS momentarily raced tight inside PULSAR STRIDER. Throughout the race, both REVE PARISIEN and SUMMIT CHEERS travelled wide and without cover. After the race, S De Sousa stated that, in his opinion, ENCHANTING IBIS raced disappointingly today as the horse failed to close the race off strongly over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection of REVE PARISIEN, SUMMIT CHEERS and ENCHANTING IBIS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ENCHANTING IBIS, PHOENIX LIGHT and CALIFORNIA VANES were sent for sampling.
