ACCELERANDO began only fairly and then was crowded for room on jumping between TURQUOISE ALPHA which was bumped by ODE TO JOY and FREE FOAL which shifted out. MIGHTY STAR and WIDE BLUE YONDER were crowded for room at the start between SPICY SKEWER and PRESIDENT’S CHOICE, both of which shifted ground. KASI FARASI shifted out on jumping and bumped LET’S DO IT which began awkwardly. KASI FARASI was then shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. Also from wide barriers, DRAGON PRIDE and FUNCTION PATCH were shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover. Approaching the 1000 Metres, LET’S DO IT was left racing wide and without cover and was then ridden along to improve its position to race outside the lead near the 900 Metres. Near the 950 Metres, TURQUOISE ALPHA got its head on the side and lay out. At the entrance to the Straight, FREE FOAL was shifted in away from the heels of PRESIDENT’S CHOICE to obtain clear running. ACCELERANDO, which was following FREE FOAL, was momentarily awkwardly placed behind that horse in consequence. Approaching the 350 Metres, SPICY SKEWER raced tight outside PRESIDENT’S CHOICE which shifted out marginally and inside ODE TO JOY which was corrected by its rider when inclined to lay in. A veterinary inspection of PRESIDENT’S CHOICE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ACCELERANDO, TURQUOISE ALPHA and LET’S DO IT were sent for sampling.
