BULB PRINCE shifted out at the start and bumped JOYFUL GENIUS which lost ground when also crowded for room inside JIANGXI STAMINA which shifted in.
PROUD DRAGON began only fairly and then lost ground on jumping when steadied away from the heels of TURBO POWER which shifted out.
UNIVERSAL CROWN bumped the inside of its gate on jumping and began awkwardly.
CHICKEN DANCE shifted out at the start and inconvenienced LUCK STAR.
From a wide barrier, MIRACLES was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn near the 900 Metres, JIANGXI STAMINA got its head on the side and lay out after racing close to the heels of ROYAL AGILITY.
Approaching the 800 Metres, BULB PRINCE was steadied away from the heels of TURBO POWER.
ROYAL AGILITY was left racing wide and without cover passing the 800 Metres.
Passing the 800 Metres, VIVA A LA, which was having its first race start today, got its head up on a number of occasions when proving difficult to settle.
Passing the 550 Metres, JIANGXI STAMINA shifted out abruptly when being checked away from the heels of ROYAL AGILITY.
Approaching the 400 Metres, LUCK STAR got its head on the side and lay out. As LUCK STAR lay out, PROUD DRAGON attempted to shift out from behind CHICKEN DANCE to improve into tight running between that horse and LUCK STAR. PROUD DRAGON was then inconvenienced when LUCK STAR shifted in approaching the 350 Metres.
After the 300 Metres, ROYAL AGILITY momentarily raced tight outside UNIVERSAL CROWN which shifted out before being directed back in to relieve the crowding.
A veterinary inspection of ROYAL AGILITY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of JOYFUL GENIUS immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, JOYFUL GENIUS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
JOYFUL GENIUS, CHICKEN DANCE and PROUD DRAGON were sent for sampling.
