WAR OF COURAGE stumbled badly at the start and lost ground. RACING FIGHTER was slow to begin and then got its head up on jumping, resulting in the horse losing further ground. Before being allowed to race again, RACING FIGHTER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. EASY SNIP got its head on the side and shifted in shortly after the start despite the efforts of its rider, resulting in PRIDE OF EIGHT being taken in and hampered when crowded for room outside KEEFY. From an outside barrier, TAMRA BLITZ was steadied to obtain cover in the early stages. Near the 900 Metres, WAR OF COURAGE was steadied away from the heels of TAMRA BLITZ which was racing tight inside BRILLIANT WAY. RACING FIGHTER was left racing wide and without cover after the 900 Metres. Passing the 500 Metres, EASY SNIP was brushed by BUZZINGA which shifted out to obtain clear running. In the early part of the Straight, KEEFY lay out and passing the 350 Metres shifted out, resulting in PACKING TREADMILL being inconvenienced and shifting out away from KEEFY. BUZZINGA, which was following PACKING TREADMILL, was shifted out away from the heels of that horse in consequence. After this, KEEFY continued to lay out under pressure. Near the 50 Metres, PRIDE OF EIGHT was shifted out away from the heels of KEEFY. A veterinary inspection of WAR OF COURAGE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of WAR OF COURAGE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, WAR OF COURAGE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, it was reported that BRILLIANT WAY had sustained a small laceration to the right hind leg. BUZZINGA, PACKING TREADMILL and ESCAPE ROUTE were sent for sampling.
