CHEERFUL DAYS shifted out at the start and brushed ROMANTIC WARRIOR.
Shortly after the start, PANFIELD shifted in and bumped COLUMBUS COUNTY which in turn bumped RUSSIAN EMPEROR. PANFIELD was then steadied to obtain cover.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, ZEBROWSKI was left racing wide and without cover and was allowed to improve its position to race outside the lead after the 1400 Metres.
After the 1500 Metres, CHEERFUL DAYS was steadied away from the heels of ROMANTIC WARRIOR which itself was awkwardly placed behind KA YING STAR. RUSSIAN EMPEROR, which was following CHEERFUL DAYS, was inconvenienced in consequence.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, RUSSIAN EMPEROR was shifted out away from the heels of CHEERFUL DAYS and after this travelled wide and without cover.
Passing the 400 Metres, KA YING STAR became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by TOURBILLON DIAMOND which shifted out. Then approaching the 200 Metres, KA YING STAR was eased away from the heels of ROMANTIC WARRIOR (K Teetan) which shifted in. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
After the 100 Metres, PANFIELD and RUSSIAN EMPEROR raced tight.
Close to the finishing line, ZEBROWSKI and RELIABLE TEAM were crowded for room between TOURBILLON DIAMOND and COLUMBUS COUNTY which got its head on the side and shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.
ROMANTIC WARRIOR and TOURBILLON DIAMOND were sent for sampling.
