SUPER WEALTHY began awkwardly, resulting in its rider, B Shinn, becoming unbalanced.
LUCKY EXPRESS began only fairly.
SIGHT SUCCESS began awkwardly.
Passing the 850 Metres, TRILLION WIN was left racing wide and without cover.
DUKE WAI had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
SUPER WEALTHY also had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
Approaching the 200 Metres, HOT KING PRAWN was tightened for room inside LUCKY EXPRESS when SUPER WEALTHY shifted to the outside of MASTER EIGHT to obtain clear running.
COMPUTER PATCH lay in under pressure over the final 100 Metres.
After the race, Z Purton stated that, in his opinion, HOT KING PRAWN’s run today was better than it may have appeared. He said HOT KING PRAWN initially responded satisfactorily when placed under pressure in the early part of the Straight, however, over the concluding stages the horse was not able to finish the race off strongly when carrying top weight. A veterinary inspection of HOT KING PRAWN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
