AMAZING TEENS began only fairly. G ONE EXCELLENT was crowded for room shortly after the start inside STEEL WIN which shifted in after being bumped by BLOTTING PAPER. EL VALIENTE (J Moreira) was crowded for room on jumping between GOLD COMET and MISSION BRAVO which shifted in. After this, from wide barriers, GOLD COMET and EL VALIENTE were shifted across behind runners. After the race, J Moreira stated that after having to race at the rear of the field today from a wide barrier, EL VALIENTE was left with too much to do over the latter stages of the race. A veterinary inspection of EL VALIENTE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. From the outside barrier, ROYAL CAMPBELL was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover. Approaching and passing the winning post on the first occasion, CABLE SPEED got its head up and travelled keenly when being steadied to obtain cover. Near the 1250 Metres, BLOTTING PAPER was awkwardly placed behind MISSION BRAVO. After the 1200 Metres, AMAZING TEENS was left racing wide and without cover. Passing the 1100 Metres, CABLE SPEED raced close to the heels of STEEL WIN. After the 700 Metres, GOLD COMET was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ROYAL CAMPBELL after racing tight outside EL VALIENTE which shifted to the outside of WONDER YEARS. At the entrance to the Straight, UNITE SPIRIT shifted out and inconvenienced STEEL WIN. The performances of GOLD COMET and ROYAL CAMPBELL, both of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GOLD COMET and ROYAL CAMPBELL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of GOLD COMET and G ONE EXCELLENT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. EL VALIENTE, MISSION BRAVO and BLOTTING PAPER were sent for sampling.
