SENOR TOBA was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind). Before being allowed to race again, SENOR TOBA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DELIGHTFUL LAOS was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, S J TOURBILLON was inconvenienced by HELENE LEADINGSTAR which was taken in by BELUGA. From wide barriers, TIANCHI MONSTER, SUPER FOOTBALL and BERLIN TANGO were all steadied in the early stages to obtain cover. After being ridden along in the early stages to make up lost ground, DELIGHTFUL LAOS commenced to travel keenly passing the 1600 Metres and got its head up when awkwardly placed behind C P BRAVE. After the 1300 Metres, HELENE LEADINGSTAR raced close to the heels of S J TOURBILLON. Passing the 900 Metres, C P BRAVE was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 750 Metres, CHARITY GO was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MONEY CATCHER which was steadied away from the heels of LOOKING GREAT. Near the 650 Metres, DELIGHTFUL LAOS raced tight outside S J TOURBILLON which improved to the outside of BELUGA. At the same point, SUPER FOOTBALL raced tight outside HELENE LEADINGSTAR which shifted out. After the race, K C Leung (MONEY CATCHER) explained that passing the 350 Metres he shifted his mount to the inside of LOOKING GREAT to improve into tight running inside that horse. He said when improving into the run which was available inside LOOKING GREAT, MONEY CATCHER became badly unbalanced on two occasions of its own accord when reluctant to continue to improve inside that horse. He said this resulted in MONEY CATCHER losing ground and passing the 200 Metres being awkwardly placed close to the heels of LOOKING GREAT. The racing manners of MONEY CATCHER were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MONEY CATCHER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial amongst other runners. Passing the 200 Metres, BELUGA and CHARITY GO raced tight when both horses improved into tight running between ENJOYING and TEMPEST EXPRESS. A veterinary inspection of C P BRAVE, TEMPEST EXPRESS and TIANCHI MONSTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BELUGA, CHARITY GO and LOOKING GREAT were sent for sampling.
