DOUBLE TAKE was withdrawn on 28.12.21 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, DOUBLE TAKE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LEGION OF MERIT bounded in the air as the start was effected and then was crowded for room between GREAT TREASURE and VICTORIOUS SEEKER which shifted out. From the outside barriers, SHENRON and STAR OF GLORY were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Making the turn after passing the winning post on the first occasion, YES WE CAN was bumped and taken wider by VICTORIOUS SEEKER which, when improving to the outside of the heels of LEGION OF MERIT, was taken out by that horse which made the turn awkwardly. YES WE CAN was then left racing wide and without cover. When racing wide and without cover after the 1200 Metres, YES WE CAN travelled keenly. Approaching the 600 Metres, LEGION OF MERIT was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of TOYCOON. Shortly after entering the Straight, LEGION OF MERIT became unbalanced when being directed to the outside of AMAZING TEENS to obtain clear running. LEGION OF MERIT shifted ground on a number of occasions approaching and passing the 200 Metres. A veterinary inspection of VICTORIOUS SEEKER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. AMAZING TEENS and LEGION OF MERIT were sent for sampling.
