LIGHTNING STORM began only fairly.
MY MY MY and DRAGON KINGDOM bumped on jumping. DRAGON KINGDOM then shifted out and a short distance after the start bumped DIVINE ERA.
NOIR RIDER began awkwardly.
GOOD BEAUTY shifted in at the start and bumped SUPER COMMANDER which became unbalanced, shifted in and hampered CALL ME LU. Then from wide barriers, CALL ME LU and GOOD BEAUTY were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
TURBO POWER and KAI XIN DRAGON were also steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
At the 800 Metres, DIVINE ERA shifted in and bumped WILD WEST WING.
Approaching the turn near the 600 Metres, DIVINE ERA raced close to the heels of NOIR RIDER. Then making the turn after the 600 Metres, DIVINE ERA got its head on the side and shifted out away from the heels of NOIR RIDER and in doing do bumped KAI XIN DRAGON, causing both horses to become badly unbalanced and KAI XIN DRAGON to be taken wider.
Also making the turn after the 600 Metres, DRAGON KINGDOM shifted out and brushed SUPER COMMANDER which throughout the race travelled wide and without cover.
Passing the 300 Metres, GOOD BEAUTY was shifted out away from the heels of DIVINE ERA. GOOD BEAUTY was then held up for clear running between DIVINE ERA and KAI XIN DRAGON after the 250 Metres.
Passing the 200 Metres, CALL ME LU was shifted in away from the heels of DRAGON KINGDOM which was giving ground. When shifted to the inside of DRAGON KINGDOM, CALL ME LU was awkwardly placed close to the heels of TURBO POWER for a short distance near the 150 Metres.
A veterinary inspection of KAI XIN DRAGON immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, KAI XIN DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
LIGHTNING STORM and FABULOUS EIGHT were sent for sampling.
