After the race, J Moreira was not able to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of ELON which was having its first race start in Hong Kong today. He said after laying in in the early part of the race ELON came under pressure near the 400 Metres and then did not finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of ELON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
