KING’S TROOPER began only fairly. EXUBERANT was crowded for room on jumping between NOIR RIDER and GOODLUCK GOODLUCK which was bumped by SPRINT FORWARD. After this, from a wide barrier, EXUBERANT was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. CHIKORITA began only fairly and then shortly after the start was bumped by SHINING ON which, after beginning awkwardly, was then taken in by SUPERB DADDY. In this incident, SUPERB DADDY and SHINING ON bumped, resulting in SUPERB DADDY becoming unbalanced. When being steadied to obtain cover approaching and passing the 1100 Metres, KING’S TROOPER travelled keenly. Approaching the 800 Metres, NOBLE DESIRE momentarily raced in restricted room inside FIRE BALL which got its head on the side and lay in. Passing the 500 Metres, NOBLE DESIRE was awkwardly placed inside the heels of FIRE BALL which again got its head on the side and lay in. At the 300 Metres, SHADOW RUNNER, which was being shifted to the outside of GOODLUCK GOODLUCK, was momentarily steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of FIRE BALL which shifted in. For a short distance passing the 300 Metres, EXUBERANT was awkwardly placed inside the heels of WHISKEY NEAT. Near the 250 Metres, SHINING ON was shifted out away from the heels of GOODLUCK GOOLUCK which was giving ground, resulting in SHINING ON and SUPERB DADDY racing tight as SUPERB DADDY was racing close to the heels of SHADOW RUNNER. Passing the 100 Metres, SHINING ON was held up for clear running before improving into tight running between NOIR RIDER and SUPERB DADDY. Passing the 50 Metres, SHADOW RUNNER raced tight inside EXUBERANT. Throughout the race, WHISKEY NEAT travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of WHISKEY NEAT and GOODLUCK GOODLUCK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of KING’S TROOPER immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, KING’S TROOPER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FIRE BALL and NOBLE DESIRE were sent for sampling.
