PLAYA DEL PUENTE was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover and after the 1100 Metres raced wide and without cover. Close to the finishing line, MORE THAN THIS shifted in and bumped CHAMPION’S WAY. After the race, K Teetan stated that SINGAPORE SLING did not quicken as he anticipated in the early part of the Straight and then finished off the race only fairly. A veterinary inspection of SINGAPORE SLING immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a minor laceration to the left front pastern. A veterinary inspection of MORE THAN THIS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. KA YING STAR and MORE THAN THIS were sent for sampling.
