ENRICH DELIGHT was withdrawn on 10.12.20 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter THE SUMMIT. Before being allowed to race again, ENRICH DELIGHT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SUPER WEALTHY (R Moore) bounded in the air at the start and landed awkwardly, resulting in the horse losing ground. After the race, R Moore stated that after beginning poorly and having to race back in the field, SUPER WEALTHY travelled keenly in the middle stages when awkwardly placed behind TOURBILLON DIAMOND. He said SUPER WEALTHY then did not finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of SUPER WEALTHY immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER WEALTHY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ASSIMILATE began awkwardly and then was awkwardly placed inside the heels of NOT USUAL TALENT on jumping which shifted in. SHADOW HERO began only fairly. From wide barriers, THE SUMMIT and PRECIOUSSHIP were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From the outside barrier, SUPER OASIS was also steadied to obtain cover shortly after the start. When being steadied to obtain cover shortly after the start, VITRALITE was awkwardly placed outside the heels of ELITE PATCH. Passing the 1500 Metres, ASSIMILATE raced tight outside SHADOW HERO which shifted out. Approaching the 1200 Metres, SHADOW HERO was steadied away from the heels of VITRALITE which shifted in away from the heels of STAR PERFORMANCE. STAR PERFORMANCE travelled keenly for some distance approaching and passing the 1200 Metres and near the 1050 Metres was shifted away from the heels of ELITE PATCH which shifted out. Passing the 900 Metres, SUPER OASIS was awkwardly placed outside the heels of VITRALITE which was racing tight outside NOT USUAL TALENT. Making the turn after the 900 Metres, ASSIMILATE got its head on the side and lay out towards the heels of THE SUMMIT. Passing the 800 Metres, NOT USUAL TALENT commenced to travel very keenly and got its head up when being checked away from the heels of CIRCUIT THREE. NOT USUAL TALENT then shifted out abruptly away from the heels of CIRCUIT THREE, resulting in VITRALITE and SUPER OASIS, which were racing wide and without cover, being hampered and forced wider. SHADOW HERO, which was following, was steadied away from the heels of NOT USUAL TALENT in consequence. After this, NOT USUAL TALENT raced in restricted room between VITRALITE and CIRCUIT THREE which shifted out away from the heels of STAR PERFORMANCE. Near the 550 Metres, VITRALITE was bumped on the hindquarters by NOT USUAL TALENT which raced tight outside SHADOW HERO as that horse improved into tight running outside STAR PERFORMANCE. In this incident, SHADOW HERO also became unbalanced. SHADOW HERO then raced tight rounding the Home Turn between STAR PERFORMANCE and NOT USUAL TALENT. NICCONI EXPRESS was held up for clear running from on straightening until passing the 300 Metres. Passing the 400 Metres, STAR PERFORMANCE raced tight inside SHADOW HERO which lay in. Passing the 150 Metres, SHADOW HERO lay in towards the heels of SOLAR WAI WAI, requiring its rider to change his whip into his right hand. SHADOW HERO, TOURBILLON DIAMOND and CIRCUIT THREE were sent for sampling.
