SKALLETI was slow to begin and then was steadied away from the heels of NORMCORE which shifted out. DANCES WITH DRAGON was steadied to obtain cover in the early stages. Near the 1300 Metres, NORMCORE travelled keenly and was awkwardly placed behind WIN BRIGHT. Rounding the Home Turn and again passing the 400 Metres, WIN BRIGHT was bumped by FURORE which shifted out. Near the 50 Metres, FURORE was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of WIN BRIGHT after being directed out by MAGICAL which shifted out away from DANON PREMIUM. A veterinary inspection of SKALLETI immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. MAGICAL, NORMCORE and WIN BRIGHT were sent for sampling.
