HAPPY MY BROTHER shifted out at the start and bumped ARROGANT. Shortly after the start, CINQUANTE CINQ was crowded for room between NATURAL STORM and BEAUTY ANGEL which shifted out. AWE was steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From the outside barrier, CHAMPION SUPREME was also steadied in the early stages to obtain a position closer to the rail shortly after the start. Near the 1750 Metres, NATURAL STORM was bumped by ENRICHMENT which received contact on the hindquarters from FLYING MIGHTY which was racing tight inside KYRUS UNICORN. Near the 1700 Metres, FLYING MIGHTY was eased when crowded for room between ENRICHMENT and KYRUS UNICORN. For some distance approaching and passing the 1600 Metres, KYRUS UNICORN got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed behind CHEVALIER PRINCE. Near the 1500 Metres, ENZEMBLE was left racing wide and without cover and consequently gave ground in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of ENZEMBLE immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, ENZEMBLE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Near the 1400 Metres, DIVINE UNICORN was left racing wide and without cover. Passing the 400 Metres, BEAUTY ANGEL was held up for clear running when attempting to improve between HAPPY MY BROTHER and ARROGANT where there was insufficient room. BEAUTY ANGEL then continued to be awkwardly placed between HAPPY MY BROTHER and ARROGANT (V Borges) which shifted out near the 300 Metres. V Borges was reprimanded and told to make every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground. BEAUTY ANGEL continued to be held up for clear running until near the 200 Metres. When ARROGANT shifted out, CINQUANTE CINQ became unbalanced when attempting to improve into restricted room inside ARROGANT. CINQUANTE CINQ then raced in restricted room for the remainder of the race inside ARROGANT and consequently was not able to be fully tested. AWE was held up for clear running passing the 400 Metres and then raced tight between BEAUTY ANGEL which was awkwardly placed outside the heels of ARROGANT and KYRUS UNICORN which shifted in when improving into tight running inside ENZEMBLE. AWE then continued to be held up for clear running behind HAPPY MY BROTHER until passing the 100 Metres. When held up for clear running behind HAPPY MY BROTHER, AWE shifted in and bumped BEAUTY ANGEL near the 150 Metres as that horse continued to be awkwardly placed outside the heels of ARROGANT. CHARITY GO was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight. FLYING MIGHTY, which was following CHARITY GO, was also held up for clear running and passing the 400 Metres shifted in abruptly away from the heels of CHARITY GO. FLYING MIGHTY then continued to be held up for clear running until approaching the 300 Metres at which stage it was shifted to the outside of CHARITY GO which resulted in DIVINE UNICORN, which was giving ground, being inconvenienced. Approaching and passing the 200 Metres, ENRICHMENT was awkwardly placed inside the heels of CHARITY GO when experiencing difficulty in obtaining clear running. ENRICHMENT then continued to have difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 100 Metres. Passing the 200 Metres, the whip of C Y Ho (HAPPY MY BROTHER) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of V Borges. Passing the 150 Metres, KYRUS UNICORN lay in and was awkwardly placed outside the heels of AWE which shifted out marginally. BEAUTY ANGEL, CHARITY GO and NATURAL STORM were sent for sampling.
