MAGNETISM shifted out at the start and brushed THUNDER STOMP. NUNCHUKS began only fairly and then was awkwardly placed outside EZRA which shifted out. CROWN AVENUE and METHANE bumped at the start, resulting in METHANE becoming unbalanced, shifting in and bumping the hindquarters of SHADOW BREAKER which became badly unbalanced. EXALTATION shifted in abruptly at the start and hampered KUNGFUMASTER PANDA. After this, KUNGFUMASTER PANDA was steadied to obtain cover. DYNAMIC EAGLE shifted in at the start and made contact with PRETTY BAUHINIA. After this, DYNAMIC EAGLE was shifted across behind runners whilst PRETTY BAUHINIA, despite being vigorously ridden, failed to muster speed. Approaching and passing the winning post on the first occasion, PRETTY BAUHINIA was steadied in an attempt to obtain cover, however, was left racing wide and without cover for the majority of the race. From the outside barrier, INDIGENOUS STAR was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, NUNCHUKS, which was travelling keenly and proving difficult to settle, was steadied away from the heels of EZRA (T Piccone) which shifted in when not properly clear. T Piccone was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he provides sufficient clearance in similar circumstances. After the 1400 Metres, DYNAMIC EAGLE was awkwardly placed behind PRETTY BAUHINIA. PRETTY BAUHINIA was forced wider passing the 1000 Metres when DYNAMIC EAGLE was taken out by EXALTATION. This resulted in DYNAMIC EAGLE racing wide and without cover. Passing the 600 Metres, NUNCHUKS an EXALTATION raced tight as NUNCHUKS shifted out from behind EZRA to follow DYNAMIC EAGLE. INDIGENOUS STAR was held up for a run in the early part of the Straight and near the 250 Metres was shifted to the inside of KUNGFUMASTER PANDA to obtain clear running. Approaching the 200 Metres, EZRA was shifted out away from the heels of MAGNETISM which was taken out by KUNGFUMASTER PANDA (K C Leung). In this incident, MAGNETISM became unbalanced after being bumped by KUNGFUMASTER PANDA. K C Leung was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. A veterinary inspection of EZRA and SHADOW BREAKER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. NUNCHUKS and METHANE were sent for sampling.
