FORTUNE BUDDY was slow to begin.
EXPONENTS began awkwardly.
HARBOUR ALERT shifted out at the start and bumped HEALTHY TREASURE.
From wide barriers, HEALTHY TREASURE and TANG TREASURE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After being ridden along for some distance in the early stages, EVER STRONG was steadied and shifted across behind runners after the 1100 Metres to obtain cover when racing wide.
Despite being vigorously ridden for some distance in the early stages, ROCHFORD failed to muster speed.
Passing the 150 Metres, FORTUNE BUDDY was shifted out away from the heels of HEALTHY TREASURE and EVER STRONG.
For the majority of the race, CORRE RAPIDO travelled wide and without cover.
The performance of JOY AVENUE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, JOY AVENUE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of EVER STRONG, JOY AVENUE and HARBOUR ALERT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that FORTUNE BUDDY was displaying heat stress. Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE BUDDY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
ADONIS, YEE CHEONG LUCKY and EXPONENTS were sent for sampling.
