Steward Report Predict Pace Map
TURF BRILLIANT shifted out at the start and bumped DOUBLE TAKE. WITNESS HUNTER began very awkwardly. KANBEKI MOLLY stumbled badly at the start. LITTLE GENERAL shifted out at the start and hampered KEEP WINNING. From wide barriers, JOY N FUN LEGEND and HAY RUN were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. KANBEKI MOLLY travelled wide and without cover until near the 800 Metres. Approaching the 800 Metres, KEEP GOING was steadied away from the heels of KANBEKI MOLLY (C Schofield) which shifted in when not fully clear. C Schofield was reprimanded and advised to provide sufficient clearance in similar circumstances. TURF BRILLIANT, which was racing inside KEEP GOING, momentarily raced tight inside that horse in consequence. When KEEP GOING was steadied, DOUBLE TAKE, which was following, improved into tight running which became available between KEEP GOING and DR LUCKY STAR. DOUBLE TAKE and DR LUCKY STAR then raced tight for a considerable distance and bumped, resulting in all three horses becoming unbalanced. Then approaching the 600 Metres, DOUBLE TAKE, which continued to race tight inside DR LUCKY STAR (M Chadwick), got its head on the side and lay in away from that horse, resulting in KEEP GOING being taken in across the rightful running of KEEP WINNING which was checked and lost ground. As there were a considerable number of circumstances which led to this incident, no further action was taken, however, M Chadwick was told to ensure that he is aware of his racing position and to make every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground and causing crowding to other runners. At the entrance to the Straight, WITNESS HUNTER was shifted out away from the heels of THE FULL BLOOM. Passing the 250 Metres, WITNESS HUNTER shifted out, resulting in JOY N FUN LEGEND and LITTLE GENERAL being inconvenienced. After the 100 Metres, TURF BRILLIANT was awkwardly placed inside the heels of GREAT SMART. DOUBLE TAKE lay in under pressure in the Straight. Throughout the race, GREAT SMART travelled wide and without cover. WITNESS HUNTER lost its left front plate during the race. The performances of KANBEKI MOLLY and KEEP GOING, both of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, KANBEKI MOLLY and KEEP GOING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of KANBEKI MOLLY, KEEP GOING and KEEP WINNING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. TURF BRILLIANT, DOUBLE TAKE and SHINEALOT were sent for sampling. <29/6/2020 Additional Veterinary Report>KEEP WINNING, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. KEEP WINNING was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C W Chang yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have a very stiff and restricted action and to be mildly lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, KEEP WINNING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. KEEP GOING, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. KEEP GOING was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have a very stiff and restricted action. As previously advised, KEEP GOING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
