Steward Report Predict Pace Map
After leaving the Parade Ring, GREEN LUCK became fractious and bumped a rail. On arrival at the Start, GREEN LUCK was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said that the horse was suitable to race. CIRCUIT GLORY shifted out at the start and bumped TURIN REDSTAR which became unbalanced and in turn shifted out and bumped GREEN LUCK. Despite being ridden along for a considerable distance in the early stages, BRAVE LEGEND became detached from the field. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, ELUSIVE STATE got its head up when being steadied to obtain a trailing position behind CIRCUIT GLORY. Passing the 1100 Metres, MORETHANLUCKY was left racing wide and without cover. After the 1100 Metres, RAGING BLITZKRIEG commenced to travel keenly and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BUDDIES for some distance. ELUSIVE STATE was left racing wide and without cover approaching the 1000 Metres. Rounding the Home Turn, CIRCUIT GLORY, which commenced to give ground, got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of MORETHANLUCKY. CIRCUIT GLORY subsequently finished tailed out. A veterinary inspection of CIRCUIT GLORY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious. The performance of CIRCUIT GLORY was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CIRCUIT GLORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, B Shinn stated that after travelling well in the early and middle stages GUNNISON came under pressure rounding the Home Turn and in the Straight gave ground. He said, in his opinion, the horse did not see out the distance of today’s race at the first time of asking. The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in whilst they considered if UGLY WARRIOR had been afforded a fair start. After viewing the videos, it was established that UGLY WARRIOR, which was fractious in the barriers after being loaded, put its head to the left simultaneously with the start being effected. As such, the Stewards found that UGLY WARRIOR had been afforded a fair start and the horse was consequently deemed to be a runner. Before being allowed to race again, UGLY WARRIOR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. A veterinary inspection of TURIN REDSTAR and BRAVE LEGEND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, both horses were unable to be scoped due to being fractious. GLORIOUS ARTIST and ELUSIVE STATE were sent for sampling. <30/12/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>BRAVE LEGEND, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious. BRAVE LEGEND was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A S Cruz this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, BRAVE LEGEND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
