On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to GENERAL TRUMP was replaced. LUCKY STORM stood flat-footed at the start and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY STORM will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial. SUPER FUN shifted out at the start and inconvenienced MAJESTIC ENDEAVOUR. From wide barriers, ROCKAGE, MONEY WINNER and HIDDEN SPIRIT were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages. When being steadied to race outside SUPREME WITNESS after the 1200 Metres, SUPER FUN commenced to travel keenly and after the 1000 Metres was allowed to improve its position forward of SUPREME WITNESS to race in the lead. Making the turn near the 900 Metres, VICTORIOUS LEADER was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SEIZE THE SPIRIT. Passing the 600 Metres, SEIZE THE SPIRIT and VICTORIOUS LEADER raced tight as VICTORIOUS LEADER improved into restricted running between SEIZE THE SPIRIT and SUREWIN. Passing the 350 Metres, ROCKAGE was shifted in and was then bumped by MONEY WINNER which shifted out. This resulted in ROCKAGE being momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of GALAXY RACER passing the 300 Metres. Passing the 250 Metres, GENERAL TRUMP lay in towards the heels of SEIZE THE SPIRIT which at the same stage shifted out marginally. This resulted in GENERAL TRUMP being directed out away from the heels of SEIZE THE SPIRIT. After this, GENERAL TRUMP continued to lay in under pressure. ROCKAGE lost its left front plate after the race. A veterinary inspection of GREAT HARVEST and BIG BULLY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GREAT HARVEST, VICTORIOUS LEADER and SEIZE THE SPIRIT were sent for sampling.
