From wide barriers, ENFOLDING, GREAT TREASURE and ENJOYABLE SUCCESS were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
LUCKY SHINY DAY was ridden along for some distance in the early stages, however, failed to muster speed and near the 1700 Metres was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Approaching the 1700 Metres, WHISKY KNIGHT, when being ridden along, shifted out towards the heels of FAITHFUL TRINITY (M Chadwick) which at this time was being shifted in when not fully clear. M Chadwick was reprimanded.
For some distance after passing the winning post on the first occasion, KING’S MAN raced in restricted room inside GENERAL DINO when being ridden along to improve into tight running inside that horse.
Approaching the 600 Metres, CROWN AVENUE got its head up when awkwardly placed behind WHISKY KNIGHT. After this, CROWN AVENUE raced in restricted room when improving into tight running between WHISKY KNIGHT and GOLDEN KID. Then rounding the Home Turn, CROWN AVENUE was awkwardly placed behind KING’S MAN which raced close to the heels of BRING IT ON.
ENJOYABLE SUCCESS was held up for clear running rounding the Home Turn behind GOLDEN KID.
At the entrance to the Straight, LUCKY SHINY DAY shifted out and bumped ENFOLDING.
Passing the 300 Metres, K Teetan (GENERAL DINO) dropped his right rein.
After the 200 Metres, BUNDLE OF ENERGY, which was giving ground, raced tight outside ENJOYABLE SUCCESS which shifted out.
Near the 100 Metres, KING’S MAN was shifted to the inside of ENFOLDING.
C Y Ho (WHISKY KNIGHT) was warned against the practice of raising his whip arm above the height of his shoulder.
After the race, K C Leung (BUNDLE OF ENERGY) reported that after being crossed by BRING IT ON after the 1200 Metres, BUNDLE OF ENERGY appeared to resent the kickback as the horse did not travel well after this. A veterinary inspection of BUNDLE OF ENERGY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

GENERAL DINO and ENFOLDING were sent for sampling.
<9/5/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that BRING IT ON was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, BRING IT ON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
