As the start was effected, HAPPY WIN WIN put its head down and consequently began awkwardly.
SUPREME PATROL shifted in at the start and bumped BABY.
From the outside barriers, SUPREME PATROL, BUOYANT BOY and HANDSOME REBEL were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, COMFORT LIFE failed to muster speed.
Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, HAPPY VICTORY got its head up when being steadied to allow BABY to cross.
After the 800 Metres, LASTING FRIENDSHIP was left racing wide and without cover.
Near the 450 Metres, ELITE PATCH was awkwardly placed behind BABY.
Passing the 400 Metres, COMFORT LIFE was shifted out away from the heels of SHINING GEM (U Rispoli) which was shifted to the outside of HAPPY VICTORY. U Rispoli was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
Passing the 100 Metres, HANDSOME REBEL and ELITE PATCH raced tight. Then passing the 50 Metres, HANDSOME REBEL and ELITE PATCH bumped as a result of both horses shifting ground.
A veterinary inspection of HAPPY VICTORY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
NOBLE DELIGHT, BLITZING and BUOYANT BOY were sent for sampling.
