WINNING FAITH was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, WINNING FAITH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
On jumping, RED WARRIOR was tightened for room between JADE FORTUNE and SUPER CHIC, both of which shifted ground.
GOOD OMEN was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Near the 1700 Metres, JADE FORTUNE raced tight inside RED WARRIOR which was taken in by CIRCUIT GLORY (Apprentice H T Mo). Apprentice Mo was reprimanded.
Passing the 1600 Metres, SUPER CHIC and GOOD OMEN raced tight inside PIKACHU (G van Niekerk). G van Niekerk was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room for runners on his inside in similar circumstances.
Passing the 1300 Metres, JADE FORTUNE commenced to prove difficult to settle and was awkwardly placed behind FAST MOST FURIOUS.
In the early part of the Straight, FAST MOST FURIOUS got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.
Near the 250 Metres, GLORIOUS ARTIST raced tight inside PACKING DRAGON.
Approaching the 50 Metres, SUPER CHIC was shifted to the outside of GOOD OMEN.
Close to the finishing line, GLORIOUS ARTIST was awkwardly placed inside the heels of RED WARRIOR and consequently was not ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
RED WARRIOR and CIRCUIT GLORY were sent for sampling.
