The Stewards were notified that A Badel (WINNER SUPREME) was wearing the incorrect colours as the horses were proceeding onto the track. In view of the similarity between the colours worn and the correct racing colours registered to the owner of WINNER SUPREME and also given that all runners had already left the Parade Ring, the Stewards allowed WINNER SUPREME to start in the colours worn by Jockey Badel. Jockey Badel and Club Officials responsible for the provision and checking of racing colours were spoken to in respect of this matter.
RUN MOOCHI and WINNER SUPREME both began awkwardly and lost ground at the start.
GENERAL TRUMP began only fairly.
When being crossed by GENERAL IRON approaching the 800 Metres, WINNER SUPREME commenced to race greenly and shifted out across the heels of that horse. WINNER SUPREME continued to race greenly, made the first turn near the 600 Metres awkwardly and ran wide.
After the 700 Metres, MULTIMAX was left racing wide and without cover.
For some distance approaching the 400 Metres, GENERAL IRON got its head up and travelled keenly when racing close to the heels of SPECIAL STARS.
Throughout the race, LUCKY LUCKY travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
A veterinary inspection of LUCKY LUCKY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
THOU SHALL SING and SPECIAL STARS were sent for sampling.
