Prior to the start being effected, TOM’S DRAGON became fractious and lunged at the front gates. Then as the start was effected, TOM’S DRAGON began awkwardly. MANFUL STAR shifted out at the start, resulting in BIG BULLY being crowded for room and making contact with the hindquarters of BURST AWAY which became unbalanced. From the outside barrier, TOUCHDOWN STRIKER was steadied soon after the start and shifted across behind runners. Over the final 150 Metres, DOMINATOR was inclined to lay in under pressure. Over the concluding stages, MANFUL STAR was awkwardly placed inside the heels of BURST AWAY and as a consequence was not able to be properly tested. Throughout the race, BURST AWAY travelled wide and without cover. Following the race, A Sanna expressed concern regarding the action of YOUNG EMPIRE. A veterinary inspection of YOUNG EMPIRE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of MANFUL STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SPLIT OF A SECOND and FANTASTIC FABIO were sent for sampling.
