HAVE FUN TOGETHER stood flat-footed at the start and consequently lost a significant amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, HAVE FUN TOGETHER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial. IMPECCABLE ONE shifted in at the start and bumped LONDON HALL. DEJA VU was crowded for room on jumping between INVESTOR BOOM and BEAUTY DAY which shifted in. In this incident, INVESTOR BOOM became unbalanced after being bumped by DEJA VU. From wide barriers, SWEETIE BARLEY and GOLDEN FOUR were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. THE CREATETH had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. HAVE FUN TOGETHER was held up for clear running until passing the 350 Metres at which time the horse was shifted to the outside of runners. Near the 150 Metres, SWEETIE BARLEY was momentarily steadied away from the heels of GOLDEN FOUR which shifted in under pressure. After the race, N Callan reported that SPLIT OF A SECOND gave ground abruptly after entering the Straight and he therefore eased it down over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection of SPLIT OF A SECOND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, SPLIT OF A SECOND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, T Berry stated that IMPECCABLE ONE, which was having its first race start today, did not feel comfortable in its action in the early stages. He said after riding IMPECCABLE ONE along, the horse’s action deteriorated after the 1100 Metres and for this reason he eased it down near the 900 Metres. A veterinary inspection of IMPECCABLE ONE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, IMPECCABLE ONE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
