On entering the track, GREEN CARD became very fractious and made heavy contact with a rail which resulted in its rider, U Rispoli, being dislodged. GREEN CARD then galloped for a considerable distance riderless. Acting on veterinary advice that GREEN CARD was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, GREEN CARD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SIR REDALOT began awkwardly. SACRED IBIS was crowded for room on jumping between SUN TOUCH and SUNNY WAY which shifted in. After this, SACRED IBIS was ridden along for a considerable distance to maintain contact with the field. After initially being ridden along in the early stages, A BEAUTIFUL was steadied passing the 1300 Metres to obtain cover. Passing the 800 Metres, REGENCY BO BO got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUPER HOPPY. After this, REGENCY BO BO and ROUNDABOUT raced tight as REGENCY BO BO continued to race close to the heels of SUPER HOPPY. Passing the 700 Metres, DUKEDOM was awkwardly placed close to the heels of CAPTAIN BOSS. Also passing the 700 Metres, SIR REDALOT got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of SIMPLY BRILLIANT. Rounding the Home Turn, SUPER HOPPY and SUN TOUCH raced tight. Passing the 150 Metres, DUKEDOM was shifted in away from the heels of SUN TOUCH which lay in under pressure. In the Straight, A BEAUTIFUL lay in under pressure. After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on REGENCY BO BO at the request of Trainer A S Cruz. The Veterinary Surgeon reported that this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, REGENCY BO BO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of SUPER HOPPY and ROUNDABOUT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SIMPLY BRILLIANT and SACRED IBIS were sent for sampling.
