PROUD SKY and HOLY UNICORN bumped at the start. From a wide barrier, SAVANNAH WIND was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. Making the turn passing the 2100 Metres, TELEPHATIA was shifted out away from the heels of SAVANNAH WIND (Z Purton) which shifted in when not properly clear. Z Purton was advised to exercise more care. Passing the 1800 Metres, TELEPHATIA got its head up on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HOLY UNICORN. Then passing the 1600 Metres, TELEPHATIA was shifted out away from behind HOLY UNICORN. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, TELEPHATIA, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of HOLY UNICORN which shifted out away from the heels of LE PANACHE. SUPERNATURAL raced wide and without cover until after the 1200 Metres at which point HOLY UNICORN was left racing wide and without cover. Rounding the Home Turn, LE PANACHE was held up and unable to improve when awkwardly placed behind SUPERNATURAL and WEALTHY FORTUNE. At the entrance to the Straight, LE PANACHE became unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by GOLD VELVET (U Rispoli) which shifted out. LE PANACHE was then checked passing the 300 Metres when disappointed for running between AUDACITY which shifted out and WEALTHY FORTUNE which was giving ground. U Rispoli was advised to exercise more care when attempting to improve into tight running so as not to cause unnecessary contact with other runners. LE PANACHE then had difficulty obtaining clear running until approaching the 150 Metres. At the 150 Metres, SUPERNATURAL was bumped on the hindquarters by WEALTHY FORTUNE which shifted out away from LE PANACHE. A veterinary inspection of LE PANACHE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. LE PANACHE, SAVANNAH WIND and HOLY UNICORN were sent for sampling.
