TELECOM SUN and ISTANBUL BEY bumped at the start and then, from wide barriers, were shifted across behind runners. After initially being ridden along, MEGATRON was steadied shortly after the start and shifted across behind runners to obtain a position closer to the rail. Shortly after the start, CELESTIAL ARROW was crowded for room inside POLYMER LUCK. Passing the 1500 Metres, CELESTIAL ARROW was shifted in away from the heels of MEGATRON (K Teetan) which shifted in abruptly before being corrected. K Teetan was severely reprimanded and warned against the practice of shifting his mounts in at an acute angle. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, JIMSON THE FAMOUS failed to muster speed and consequently raced back in the field and travelled wide and without cover for the majority of the race. Making the turn passing the winning post on the first occasion, MEGATRON raced in restricted room inside WAH MAY BABY. FIVE STARS AGENT travelled wide and without cover in the early stages and was allowed to improve its position after the 1200 Metres to obtain a position closer to the rail. Near the 500 Metres, MASSIVE POWER momentarily raced in restricted room inside FIVE STARS AGENT. In this incident, FIVE STARS AGENT became unbalanced. At the entrance to the Straight, SUPREME STORM was shifted in away from the heels of MEGATRON. Approaching the 200 Metres, FIVE STARS AGENT was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of POLYMER LUCK which shifted in under pressure. A veterinary inspection of MASSIVE POWER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. WAH MAY BABY and POLYMER LUCK were sent for sampling.
