GONNA RUN and KYRUS BOWSER were crowded for room on jumping between ULTIMATE GLORY which shifted out and LITTERATEUR which shifted in after beginning awkwardly. After this, both GONNA RUN and LITTERATEUR were shifted across behind runners. Despite being hard ridden in the early stages, both TRAVEL FIRST and GRAND HARBOUR failed to muster sufficient speed to cross runners to their inside, resulting in TRAVEL FIRST racing wide and without cover for the major part of the race and GRAND HARBOUR being required to race wide and without cover until near the 1200 Metres at which time the horse was steadied and shifted across behind runners. Shortly after entering the Straight, TURIN PEARL was shifted to the outside of KYRUS BOWSER after being disappointed for running between that horse and DIVINE BOY which shifted out. GONNA RUN was held up for clear running approaching the 200 Metres and when attempting to improve to the outside of RED MARVEL (S Clipperton) after the 150 Metres was awkwardly placed outside that horse which shifted out under pressure. As the Stewards were satisfied that GONNA RUN had not properly established running to the outside of RED MARVEL, no further action was taken, however, S Clipperton was reminded of his obligation to ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground. Near the 50 Metres, HIGH VOLATILITY was steadied away from the heels of GONNA RUN as that horse continued to be awkwardly placed outside RED MARVEL. Throughout the race, SUNNY WIN travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of SUNNY WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of ENREACHING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ENREACHING, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ENREACHING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of MISTER MONTE immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. DIVINE BOY and RED MARVEL were sent for sampling.
