SUPER LEADER began only fairly. FANTASTIC FEELING began awkwardly and on jumping was crowded for room between TRAVEL DATUK and WONDERFUL FIGHTER which shifted out after also beginning awkwardly. From wide barriers, HEROIC GURU and JOLLY CONVERGENCE were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, DR WIN WIN was momentarily crowded for room between LOTUS BREEZE and I’M A WITNESS which got its head on the side and lay in. WONDERFUL FIGHTER, which was following DR WIN WIN, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse in consequence. Passing the 300 Metres, FANTASTIC FEELING shifted out away from the heels of SUPER LEADER. Passing the 100 Metres, FANTASTIC FEELING (S Clipperton), which was closing off the race strongly, was directed to the outside of ALL GREAT FRIENDS in an endeavour to improve into tight running between that horse and DR WIN WIN. When FANTASTIC FEELING was shifted out, that horse bumped the hindquarters of DR WIN WIN which became unbalanced. A short distance later, as FANTASTIC FEELING continued to advance into tight running, DR WIN WIN was brushed by FANTASTIC FEELING and then shifted out away from that horse and in doing so shifted out across the rightful running of I’M A WITNESS which was checked when crowded for room inside CHARITY GLORY. S Clipperton was severely reprimanded and advised that whilst DR WIN WIN had shifted out away from FANTASTIC FEELING near the 50 Metres which resulted in the interference being sustained by I’M A WITNESS, nonetheless that horse had initially become unbalanced as a result of pressure being placed on it by FANTASTIC FEELING. In this incident, CHARITY GLORY, which was racing to the outside of I’M A WITNESS, was directed out away from that horse in an endeavour to relieve the tightening to I’M A WITNESS and in doing so shifted out and inconvenienced WONDERFUL FIGHTER, resulting in both CHARITY GLORY and WONDERFUL FIGHTER not being able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race. Throughout the race, I’M A WITNESS travelled wide and without cover. I’M A WITNESS lost its right front plate after the race. A veterinary inspection of LOTUS BREEZE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. MOMENT OF POWER, SUPER LEADER and TRAVEL DATUK were sent for sampling.
